I was reading your E39 M5 DDM Bumper Install and I have just purchased the same set-up.

Did you replace the fender liners and brake ducts with M5 ones?
People do this,I just don’t know if you need to.

Also did you leave the inner bumper in place or rivet it to the new bumper? Any help would be greatly appreciated.-Thanks Alan

Hi Brett – traveling east on I40 is all uphill to approx 7,400 elevation, but the 500 was still averaging 43.5mpg. Of course, this is measured in Imperial Gallon so it’s a little less by our standards. It handled the ascent quite nicely though; the 68hp performed impressively!
